It’s not necessarily about a lack of optimism as it relates to your intention to positively contribute to a conversation. I get it. In some cases it’s important to point out the downsides, but why are you always raining on the parade?
Try to find out why you are mad, and work on that. Don’t lead every conversation you have into an unsolicited negative outlook purely to hijack it towards your undesirable bad-news outcome. Try to find a way to participate that’s not overly polarized. You’ll live longer!
